Every game. Every school event. Every performance. Even if he had to come straight from work, still in his
uniform, he showed up. His presence was his promise. A kind of love that didn’t need to be spoken to be
understood.
When I went to college, that same loyalty never wavered. If my car broke down, he’d drive six hours—without
hesitation—to come help me. No questions. No complaints. Just a father showing up for his daughter. And
those weren’t isolated moments. That was simply who he was.
But his support didn’t stop there. When I stepped into the world of entrepreneurship, it was my dad who
helped me launch Synergy Learning Institute. He believed in my vision before the world did. And it was his
idea that sparked my very first company. He saw potential in me and fanned it into flame with his wisdom,
quiet encouragement, and belief that I could create something meaningful.
More than anything, my dad taught me what it means to lead by serving.
To give your best in everything you do. To show up with integrity, to
work with excellence, and to treat people with dignity. For him, a
handshake wasn’t just a formality—it was a vow. His word was his bond.
And let’s not forget—he’s also hilarious. He and I share the same dry,
quick-witted humor that can crack a room with one perfectly timed line.
We both love a good joke, especially the kind that sneaks up on you,
lands with just the right amount of sarcasm, and makes everyone pause
for a second before they burst out laughing. That shared sense of
humor is one of my favorite things about us. It’s our unspoken language,
our connection, our way of making even tough days feel lighter.
