FROM THE EDITOR
Founder, Lead and Empower Her She Talks
She Talks Sisters,
As we step into September, I’m reminded that this month often carries a
sense of new beginnings. For many, it’s the start of a school year, a fresh
season, or simply a reset after the fullness of summer. Here at She Talks
Magazine, September is about stepping boldly into the vision we’ve been
building all year—one rooted in connection, courage, and community.
This issue is dedicated to the power of change and the women who
embrace it with resilience and grace. You’ll find stories of women daring to
reinvent themselves, voices calling for deeper conversations, and wisdom
from leaders who are not afraid to stand for something bigger than
themselves. Every page is a reminder that transformation doesn’t just
happen once—it happens every day we choose to rise, to speak, and to
keep showing up.
I am constantly inspired by the global sisterhood that She Talks has
become. From the women launching initiatives in their hometowns, to
those gathering across continents to lift one another higher, you remind
me that true leadership is not about titles—it’s about service, courage, and
the willingness to link arms with others.
As you read through this month’s features, I invite you to pause and
reflect: Where in your life is change asking to be welcomed? Where can you
be braver? Where can you step into leadership in a way that impacts not
just you, but those around you?
Together, we are writing a story that spans the globe—one that says
women can and will transform the future. I’m honored to be on this
journey with each of you.
With gratitude and bold belief,
Forged by Fire: How
to Turn Struggle
Into Strength
By Mamie-Jean Lamley
"The struggle is the teacher. The
lesson is the treasure. Claim it and
rise." - Mamie
The Gift of Struggle
Struggle strips you bare. It pulls away the easy. It removes the comfort. It
forces you to see what truly matters. In that Fire, you discover resilience,
courage, wisdom, and compassion.
I remember a time when everything I counted on was shifting. My
business felt uncertain. Family life demanded more than I thought I could
give. My foundation felt like it was cracking beneath me.
In that moment, I had a choice. Collapse under the weight. Or let the Fire
mold me. Refine me. Forge me. I chose to rise. When I declared what I
would and wouldn't do, it revealed a strength I had never touched before.
I learned to speak with courage, lead with compassion, and discovered
that what I thought was breaking me was actually building me.
Setbacks are proof that you are refining yourself for something greater
and stretching yourself into the person you said you wanted to become.
The struggle you face right now will not break
you. It will build you. Setbacks never feel like
gifts. They feel a sense of loss, disappointment,
and even failure. Yet inside every challenge
lives power you can claim. Pain hurts. Pain also
forges strength. And with awakening, that
strength carries you forward.
Turning Pain Into Power
Your transformation is no accident. Pain arrives uninvited, but power is
your choice. Stop asking "Why me?" and start declaring "Watch me." In
that shift, pain forges strength, and strength becomes your power.
SHE TALKS | 8
Face the Fire
Stop pretending the Fire is not burning. Look
straight into it and name it for what it is. When you
stand in front of it with courage, the Fire shifts. It no
longer consumes you. It forges you.
I know this because I have faced fires that tried to
silence me. I chose to walk through them, and on
the other side, I carried strength I never knew
existed. The Fire did not destroy me. It shaped me
into the leader I was born to be.
Extract the Lesson
Every setback carries wisdom. The question is not if
the lesson is there. The question is whether you are
willing to see it. Ask yourself: What truth is this Fire
showing me? What strength is waking up inside me?
The lesson is never lost. Pain tries to bury it. Fear
tries to hide it. But the Gift is always waiting. The
moment you claim the lesson, you reclaim your
power.
My Gift I Received in the Fire
There was a season when everything around me
was shaking. Personally. Professionally.
Spiritually. I wanted to shrink. I wanted to
disappear.
In the middle of that Fire, I made a choice. I
stood when everything in me wanted to hide. I
spoke when silence felt safer. That choice
changed everything. The storm that tried to
silence me became the spark that pushed me
onto bigger stages. What looked like a
breakdown became a breakthrough.
The Fire did not just give me strength. It gave me
purpose. It gave me a mission: to help others
find their voice in the middle of their Fire.
From Invisible to Impact
One moment stands out. A dear friend in Atlanta looked
me in the eye and said, Mamie, you are your biggest
obstacle. There is a reservoir of untapped potential
within you, waiting to burst forth. It's time to shed the
excuses and embrace your purpose.
His words pierced my self-doubt. Despite orchestrating
events for thousands, I felt invisible, tethered to the
floor of the convention hall, my voice only heard
through a walkie-talkie. But in that moment, a Fire
stirred within me. I could see the stage. I could feel the
energy. I could sense the calling.
That night, I made a decision. No longer behind the
scenes. No longer silenced by fear. I stepped into the
Fire and let it forge me into visibility.
The first time I took the microphone, the weight of my
fears burned away. My voice carried conviction. What
once held me back became the very power that
propelled me forward.
SHE TALKS | 9
Your turn
That leap opened new doors—first as an Assistant Trainer at T. Harv Eker's Warrior Training Camp, and later
as a mentor to ninety-seven women who said yes to their own Fire. In 2018, twenty-seven of them traveled
across the world to stand on an international stage for the first time. Each one walked away with an award,
not because it was easy, but because their own Fire forged them.
"The Fire does not stop with you. When you rise, you ignite others."
- Mamie
Have you been here too? Your Fire
may look different than mine. It could
be a lost job. It could be a broken
relationship. It could be a dream that
refuses to take shape.
Whatever your Fire looks like, the Gift
is still there. The struggle is not empty.
It is shaping you. It is refining you.
Ask yourself:
What is this Fire teaching me?
What strength is it awakening in
me?
What Gift is waiting for me to
claim?
Do not walk away from this moment
without answering. The Fire you face is
the very place your power is born.
Rise With
the Gift
Here is the truth. Your pain is
your credential. Setbacks are not
ashes of defeat. They are the Fire
that forges your gold.
The struggle you face today is not
here to stop you. It is here to
shape you. Inside it lives the very
Gift that will lift you into your
next level of greatness.
Claim it. Rise with it. And never
forget this.

Why Fall Is the Season to Reset, Realign,
and Rise into True Leadership
By Tami McVay
ummer invites us to play. The
long days, warm nights, and sun-
drenched weekends give us
permission to recharge, to step
back, and to enjoy the fruits of
Fall is nature’s transition period. As the light
shifts and the air sharpens, so does our
energy. This season carries a quiet
invitation - not to slow down, but to step
up.
While many people begin to pull back,
waiting for the “fresh start” of a new year,
those who are serious about growth
understand something different: the most
powerful way to stand out… is to do what
others aren’t doing.
That’s where leadership begins.
our labor. If you took that time to rest,
reflect, and reconnect with yourself -
good. That’s exactly what you were meant
to do.
Now your batteries are full. And that
means it’s time to move.
SHE TALKS | 12
The Quiet Season That
Separates the Average
from the Bold
There’s a subtle rhythm this time of year -
one that nudges people toward comfort and
coasting. The sweaters come out. The
calendars get filled with events. The
intention to “get back on track” gets pushed
to January.
But for those of us who lead, fall isn’t a
retreat. It’s a recalibration.
It’s the moment we take inventory of the
year so far, ask honest questions, and make
the deliberate choice to finish strong… not
for the optics, but for the integrity. Because
leadership isn’t built in public - it’s built in
moments of quiet decision, when no one’s
watching.
What most people forget is this: The way
you finish the year is how you enter the
next one. Momentum doesn’t start in
January. It’s forged in the fall.
Nature doesn’t hold back when it’s time to
evolve. The trees don’t cling to their leaves
out of fear of starting fresh - they let go
with grace and confidence.
Take the cue.
What habits, obligations, or patterns are
weighing you down right now? What
mindsets are keeping you from showing up
as the leader you know you are?
Now is the time to shed. Not later. Not when
it’s convenient. Because what you release
now creates space for the clarity, power,
and momentum you’ll need to move
forward.
This Fall, Make It Personal
SHE TALKS | 13
And here’s the real gift: When you push with intention now, you get
to enjoy the holidays—not overindulge out of stress, guilt, or
burnout. You’ll be present, not panicked. Fulfilled, not frenzied.
So light the candle. Wrap yourself in your favorite flannel. Sip the
latte. But also: pull out the whiteboard. Rewrite your goals.
Reconnect with your values. Make the decisions that your future
self will thank you for.
That’s what power moves look like. It’s not in the volume. It’s in the
consistency. It’s in doing what others delay. It’s in becoming the
kind of leader who doesn’t wait for the new year to rise.
Fall isn’t just a season. It’s a strategy.
And if you choose to embrace it, you won’t just finish strong -
you’ll start ahead.

The Autumn
Reset
Balancing Comfort and Ambition
By Louisa Marie
Fall Routines, Business Check-Ins, and Year-End Momentum
all has always been my favorite
season. I love cozy sweaters, the
way the leaves change colours, and
the satisfying crunch under my feet
After the unpredictable pace of summer,
autumn feels like a deep breath for both life
and business. It’s a season that blends
comfort with purpose. On one hand, we slow
down enough to enjoy the season’s beauty.
On the other, the year’s final quarter is here
— and the clock is ticking. If we want to finish
strong, now is the time to align our vision,
streamline our systems, and focus on the
actions that will truly move the needle.
on a crisp morning walk. The shift from
summer to fall is more than a change in
weather — it’s a change in pace. For me, it’s
swapping iced coffees for pumpkin spice
lattes, replacing the kids’ summer bike rides
with afternoons jumping on a trampoline
covered in leaves, and finding a rhythm that
feels both cozy and productive.
SHE TALKS | 16
THE COZY
CEO RESET
I like to think of fall as my built-in annual review
— not the kind with endless spreadsheets, but
one that’s intentional, reflective, and strategic. It
starts with asking myself three key questions:
1.What’s still worth my energy before the year
ends?
2.What can I simplify so I’m not running on
fumes by December?
3.What boundaries will help me protect my
time and focus this season?
watch the kids laughing on the trampoline or
setting aside time for a slow morning before
the workday begins.
Sometimes the answers are clear — like streamlining
a service that’s gotten too complicated or finally
outsourcing a recurring task. Other times, they’re
more personal — like blocking out afternoons to
Why Fall is the Perfect
Reset Season
Autumn naturally mirrors what we need in
business: letting go of what no longer serves
us (like trees dropping leaves) to make room
for future growth. We’re far enough into the
year to see what’s working, yet there’s still
time to pivot before the calendar flips.
Where summer often brings a more scattered
pace, fall gives us the gift of structure. People
are back into routines, clients are more
responsive, and there’s a renewed sense of
focus in the air. Tapping into that momentum
now can mean the difference between ending
the year frazzled or fulfilled.

Seasonal Power Moves for
Your Business
Q4 Check-In
Don’t just dust off your goals — actively review them. Which
ones still matter? Which can be tabled for next year? Which
needs a stronger push right now? Prioritizing in Q4 is about
focusing your resources where they’ll have the most impact.
Declutter & Simplify
Before the holiday rush sets in, streamline your operations.
Audit your workflows, unsubscribe from tools you no longer
use, and cut down on unnecessary meetings. A lighter load
now means more capacity for what really matters.
Reconnect
Fall is a great time to nurture relationships — not only with
clients but also with collaborators, mentors, and peers. A
quick check-in email, a “thinking of you” note, or even a short
virtual coffee can reignite opportunities.
Plan Ahead
The best way to start January strong is to prepare in October
or November. Map out your first quarter now — offers,
launches, and marketing themes so you’re not scrambling
after the holidays.
Bringing It All Together
Fall reminds me that you don’t have to choose between enjoying life and
driving your business forward. You can savor the small things like
swapping your iced coffee for something warm or watching the kids
bounce through a blanket of leaves and still take decisive, intentional
steps toward your goals. The two can exist together, and in my
experience, that balance is where the best ideas and boldest moves are
born.
So, grab your sweater, breathe in that crisp air, and decide: What bold
move will you make before the year ends?

EVE NASBY'S BILLION-
SOUL MISSION
By She Talks Team
SHE TALKS | 19
How a divorced mother is turning a decade of darkness into a global evangelism
empire worth watching
THE CRUCIBLE YEARS
In the high-stakes world of executive recruiting, Eve
Nasby built her reputation on identifying potential
where others saw only résumés. But nothing could
have prepared her for the moment she would be
recruited for the most audacious mission of her
career: teaching one billion people to share their
faith in just ten years.
Today, as Executive Director of Just One—a global
evangelism initiative that's capturing attention from
Silicon Valley to seminary halls—Nasby stands at the
intersection of ancient calling and cutting-edge
technology. Her story reads like a modern-day
parable: a woman who emerged from a decade of
silent suffering to lead what could become the most
ambitious faith-sharing movement in Christian
history.
The transformation didn't happen overnight. For
nearly a decade, Nasby found herself navigating what
she quietly describes as "living in survival mode." Her
then-husband was working through untreated PTSD,
creating an atmosphere of unpredictability that left
deep marks on their marriage.
"I spent nine and a half years sleeping in a separate bedroom," she shares with the kind of honesty that
stops conversation. The physical distance in their home became a painful metaphor for emotional wounds
that seemed impossible to heal. When divorce became inevitable, the custody proceedings that followed
tested every reserve of strength she thought she possessed.
Yet in those darkest moments, something extraordinary was being
forged. "I chose to trust that God could bring something meaningful
from this difficult season," she reflects. "And I knew I needed to be
there for my daughter, even when I felt like I was falling apart."
What she didn't know then was that these years of quiet endurance
were preparing her for a calling that would require every ounce of
the resilience being built in the shadows.
THE MOTHER'S COVENANT
If there's one thread that runs consistently through Nasby's story,
it's an unwavering commitment to her daughter. Through bedtime
prayers, impromptu coffee dates, and surprise visits at work, she
made motherhood her north star.
“I never missed a school event or competition," she says with quiet
intensity. "My philosophy became crystal clear: God first, my
daughter second, everything else comes third."
SHE TALKS | 20
This wasn't just maternal instinct—it was kingdom preparation. The same fierce love that drove her to show up
consistently for one child would later fuel her passion to reach one billion souls.
